Hello World,
Come May 25th we will be leaving the comfort of our humble home in Austin, TX and driving over 2,000 miles for the first leg of our musical road adventure. We will be seeking shelter around the half-way mark in Boulder, Colorado where my brother lives. He goes to school at The University of Colorado so I don't get to see him very often. It'll be nice to have a free place to crash but even nicer to get to spend some time with my brother.
We'll spend a day or two hiking and rafting before driving the rest of the way to our first stop. The first festival stop is Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington where we will be camping out (and rocking out)! We are most looking forward to seeing Vampire Weekend, Nada Surf, Band of Horses, WHY?, Passion Pit, Temper Trap and many others.
We just posted a Sasquatch! Playlist with some songs by these artists for your enjoyment! Also, here is a video of a live version of Temper Trap's song "Sweet Disposition"...
Stay tuned!

I really liked how you added the playlist to the right and this video so we can get a sense of what you hope to see at the festival and what kind of festival it is. GREAT Job!
ReplyDeleteI really like your slideshow with all the pictures of you and your best friend! Cute! :) Also it's a good idea, I never thought of using photobucket!
ReplyDeleteKatrina, This is an awesome blog. You can tell that you put a lot of work, time, effort, and creativity to it. I really like that you were able to embed music into your blog especially because this is a music road trip! Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely put an array of visual elements which helped your blog a lot. It is obvious you spent a lot of time on this and am quite impressed. I liked that you put in different music as it expresses your music themed journey. Good work!
ReplyDeleteI also like the audio files you added to your blog to give the readers a sense of what genre of music will be playing at each of the music festivals. Also, I liked the links to the 5 music festivals you and your best friend will be attending.
ReplyDeleteHey Katrina! I think your blog is awesome! I love the pictures that you spread throughout your proposal (the compass, CD's, the piggybank). The break up the text and make more fun to look at. The playlist is really cool too! One thing you could think about: adding a post that talks about one or two of the festivals in more detail.
